Join me in painting my latest oil painting At The Beach. I recently took a trip to southern Florida and visited many different areas. I took a lot of reference materials of beaches, parks and the Everglades. This is one of my beach paintings created from those references.
In this lesson I will take you through each step in the process. First we will create a beautiful cloudy sky. I’ll show you how to layer effectively and highlight the clouds to make them look realistic with little effort. Then we move into the ocean and paint subtle waves and ripples as the water flows onto the sand.
This is a fun 2.5 hour painting lesson. You’ll enjoy creating your own beach scene with these straight forward techniques.
