In my lesson Finding My Way To Mountains, you’ll create a landscape that draws the viewers in through a mountain road. There is nothing like driving through the mountains. The road winds around corners, up and down hills and there are surprises on each turn. I love seeing mountains off in the distance. They grow taller and more powerful as you get closer and closer. I wanted to capture that feeling in this painting.
Learn how to draw the viewer in with a winding road that disappears into a distant hill. I’ll show you how to set up the composition. Then we will create a bright blue sky and clouds, and then work our way through our dark colors, creating all of our elements. Then we will start to layer in our details, quick and loose. This entire painting is done with loose flowing brush strokes. See you how you can create light by using values and warm and cool colors. This painting has it all. Come join the fun!
