I created this painting based on an early morning driving down the dirt road I live on. There was a full moon setting over the hills. It was a bitter cold night that was coming to an end, and I was amazed at the beauty of winter. Even when it is hard to handle, and when it seems like it just can’t get any colder, the beauty of winter outshines everything. The purples, the blues, the quietness, the magical nature of snow, it all adds up to one of the prettiest times of the year.
Join me in painting this painting from start to finish. I’ll show you how to mix the colors, create the shapes, and how to create a beautiful snowy scene. I’ll show you a great trick on how to create a smooth sky hombre or gradient in acrylics. Sit down, have a warm drink and come paint with me!
