Here is a great new bird painting lesson to challenge you and expand your skills. In this lesson I do a mini drawing lesson, talking about proportion, negative space and relationships. (Bonus drawing lesson will be included as well from the sketchbook challenge series)
Next we will go over layers, color mixing and details. Learn how to stay loose while still maintaining realism and detail. Learn how to create switching contrast in the background to bring out the head of the heron as well as the body.
This is a very fun lesson with a lot of close ups and detail work!
